Mozilla updates Firefox for Android: Improved Speed and Stability

Mozilla has released an updated version of Firefox 4 for Android that is both faster and more stable.
Yesterday Mozilla released the latest Firefox 4 beta for Android and Nokia N900 (Maemo). According to Mozilla, this will be the last test version released before the final version is ready in a few weeks.

The latest version should be much more stable than the previous test version of the browser that was released just over a week ago. Performance should also be improved significantly.

Firefox 4 for Android supports syncing bookmarks, passwords and open tabs if the user also uses the latest version of Firefox 4 on other computesr.

The latest beta of Firefox 4 for Android available for download from firefox.com, or download the browser from the Android Market.

Google Maps updated with Latitude Check-in

Google has just released Maps version 5.1 on the Android Market and can thus introduce a new feature in Latitude. It is now possible to check in at the various locations, like you can with Foursquare.

Check-in for Google Maps with Latitude has the following features:

Notifications: Be reminded to check in when you are at a new location.
Automatic check-in: It is possible to get the Latitude to automatically check you in at the locations you choose

Upcoming HTC Android devices


The picture above reportedly shows HTC’s upcoming Android devices that are likely emerge, at Mobile World Congress in February. Sony Ericsson releases 2.1 update

SonyEricsson just released the promised Android 2.1 update for Xperia X10, X10 mini and Xperia Xperia X10 mini. The installation is done by either the included PC Companion or through Sony Ericsson Update Service, which is why you can not update the phone as previously explained by the fact that the update is so large. Sony Ericsson recommends using PC Companion to perform the update.

Android Gingerbread 2.3 released soon

Sony Ericsson releases LiveView
